Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do I need to bring my own equipment? Can I bring my own equipment?
A: We provide all the equipment  and gloves. We will also train you on a ground school course, before allowing access to the adventure park. Helmets are provided, but are not required. We apologize but we cannot allow your personal gear to be used on our course.

Q: If I am afraid of heights, is it a good idea for me to climb?
A: The mantra is "Challenge by Choice." The idea of a challenge course is to provide a safe environment for people to not only challenge their fears, but build their self-confidence. Our tickets are valid for three hours, so you can take as long as you need to complete the courses, and repeat a level or progress up to the next level and work on overcoming your fear. Our staff will help talk you through some of the challenging obstacles, giving you tips on how to make it easier, if you feel you need some more encouragement.

            Q: What should I wear?
A: Dress for the weather that day!  Layers are great and you want clothes you can move around in, but nothing too baggy.  We also caution aganist short shorts.  Closed toes shoes that cannot come off.  Long hair should be tied back. Please remove all jewelry including rings, watches, earrings, necklaces and bracelets before climbing. Also empty your pockets! All cell phones, cameras, wallets and keys are very likely to fall out and break, be lost to the woods, or land on a climber below you.

Q: Can I still climb in the rain? How about in extreme heat?
A: We do operate in rain, but during extreme conditions like lightning and thunder, climbers will have to get out of the trees and wait in the pavilion until the storm passes, if the storm does not look like it will pass for a longer period of time, then a rain check will be issued (as long as this occurs during the first 2 hours of your session) allowing you to come back another day. Sessions may be cancelled on extremely hot or cold days.

Q: Is there food or drink available? Can I bring my own food?
A: We do sell bottled water, Gatorade and bagged snacks like chips and granola bars, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and a picnic lunch and use the pavilion area and tables. Farmville is less than ten minutes away, and offers some delectable options for a lunch or dinner after your climb...to reward yourself for a job well done!
